For PSHE, Class 3W took part in a litter picking lesson to learn how looking after our school environment helps everyone. The class talked about the difference between litter and waste, why littering is harmful, and what can be recycled.
Pupils worked together in teams to collect and sort rubbish using litter pickers and bags. They discussed how litter can harm animals and make our playground less safe and tidy. The activity encouraged everyone to take responsibility for their actions and think about how to reduce litter in the future.
By the end of the lesson, the children reflected on how small actions—like putting rubbish in the bin and recycling—make a big difference to our community and the planet.
